The challenge
A factory launch must speak to industrial stakeholders, commercial partners, journalists and households in different ways. The factory setting demonstrates capability; the hotel setting creates space for relationships and a broader brand experience. Both need to contribute to a coherent story about manufacturing in Egypt and serving regional and international markets.
The approach
The project brief combines pre-opening communications, two event settings and a sustained post-announcement campaign. The organizing idea is to connect manufacturing capability with what it means for customers and partners: product availability, quality assurance and an international route to market.
Give the factory opening and hotel event distinct purposes. The factory programme centers on production, the investment story and official stakeholder engagement. The hotel programme centers on partner relationships, product experience and the next chapter of the brand.
Coordinate PR, creative, digital and event production through one message framework and approval process. Prepare reusable content during planning so the opening generates assets for the weeks that follow.
- 01Build the narrative
- 02Open the factory
- 03Connect at the hotel

Inside the launch programme
Developed campaign structure from the project brief; execution details await confirmation.
Pre-opening: establish the story before the ceremony
Build a staged communications calendar, moving from the manufacturing ambition to the people, products and capabilities behind it. Prepare brand films, factory-progress content, invitation journeys, executive talking points and a media kit. Brief distributors and retail partners on the commercial narrative. Use approved teaser and educational content to build interest without announcing unconfirmed operating capacity or export performance.
At the factory: make the capability tangible
Structure the on-site opening around official arrival, the inauguration moment, executive remarks, a guided factory tour and product demonstrations. Plan visitor routes, transport, staging, interpretation where needed, photography and press interviews in coordination with operations. Capture a clear visual record of the facilities and people, with each factual statement aligned to the approved announcement.
At the hotel: bring the brand and partner network together
Develop a complementary evening programme at the major Egyptian hotel described in the brief. Connect reception, immersive product displays, a keynote or launch film, hospitality and networking in one guest journey. Coordinate invitations, seating, AV cues and host scripts with the factory programme. The hotel name, capacity and relative size remain unconfirmed, so the portfolio does not assign a venue or ranking.
After the announcement: extend reach and generate follow-up
Distribute the approved press release and visuals, arrange follow-up interviews and turn the event story into short social films, leadership content and factory explainers. Support the narrative with digital video, search and audience-specific retargeting where appropriate. Give retailers and distributors co-branded materials, email follow-up and product information. Track media message quality, engaged traffic, partner meetings and accepted opportunities separately from manufacturing or export figures.
Deliverables & evaluation
This framework brings pre-launch anticipation, the factory ceremony, the hotel experience and post-launch amplification into one programme. It does not assign campaign ROI, attendance or sales uplift without records. Public factory investment and export targets provide industrial context; they are not marketing results or proof of an individual’s contribution.

Project context & sources
Campaign scope comes from Khaled’s brief; detailed execution, venue, dates and individual responsibilities await confirmation. Beko’s September 2024 announcement is included as relevant public industry context given the portfolio’s Beko experience, not proof that this unnamed engagement is the same event. It states a $110 million investment and a target to export 60% of output to markets including Europe. It does not establish “largest home-appliance factory in the Middle East.” The draft does not assign the opening to Khaled’s employment dates.
